Note: The Easysite 'Code Asset' supports most code that can be rendered by a browser, however EIBS can offer no guarantee of what will work / will not work, especially across browsers, when this functionality is used.  EIBS does not guarantee to support any issues that occur due to HTML or Javascript content, but may offer some assistance.

Note: that by default some streaming providers provide flash enabled embed code, which may not render on all mobile devices. In this case it is often possible to obtain a HTML5 version of the code. For example, go to http://www.youtube.com/html5, and select Request HTML5 player. Then search for the required video and capture the embed code as standard.

Unfortunately, you are unable to use any code that uses FORM tags or INPUT elements as you cannot nest FORMs, and the whole page is rendered within a .NET master form. This also applies to JavaScript that pulls in HTML content containing FORM tags and instead non-Easysite forms can be added via API Plugin elements.

Malformed HTML, for example poorly nested tags, may prevent the page from being edited inline. You will need to edit the Code Asset content or remove the element from the template to resolve this.

Keywords

Note: keywords may be separated with commas.

Review Date

Enter an appropriate date.

Expiration Date

Enter an appropriate date, and click Change to select an appropriate category.

Note: this will result in the asset being placed into a draft state until the expiry date is removed and the asset re-published. Once expired the asset will no longer be present to users in the front end of the site.

Note: no category is required when expiring asset although the asset can be moved to a different asset category as part of the expiration process.

Archive Date

Enter an appropriate date, and click Change to select an appropriate category.

Note: this will simply relocate the asset to a different category and will not result in the asset being automatically removed from the front end of the site. You will be required to relocate the asset to a category with relevant permissions to give this effect.

Deletion Date

Enter an appropriate date.

Categories

Categories control access to the asset, and may also be used to aggregate content via a page element such as Asset Browser.

To categorise an asset click categories. The following view will be presented:
