Removing Pages from Google Search Results

Possible options in the event that Google finds content that you did not wish to be found.

In the event that Google finds a page that you did not wish to be found, there are several options:

  • Altering the content of the page itself to remove the search terms Google has found.
  • Restricting the page via EasySite Page Permissions, causing the Google link to prompt for an EasySite login.
  • Removing the page from EasySite, causing the Google link to return a 404 error.
  • Adding Robots Meta Tags to pages informing search engines not to index the page

Note: Google will still display the page in the results until it has indexed your site again.
