Configuring the SMTP setup of your Easysite installation.
SMTP
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is an Internet standard for electronic mail (e-mail) transmission across Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Easysite offers the following three options for SMTP setup:
- Install SMTP service on web server to send email directly
- Install SMTP service on web server and configure it to use a smart host for relay
- In Easysite configure the mail settings to send directly to a smart host rather than the local service.
Easysite System configuration
To complete SMTP setup you will need to make some changes to Administration -> System -> Configuration, and complete the Email Configuration fields.
