Shared visibility options
To make an Asset Category global go to Administration -> Assets -> Asset Categories.
1. Click to select the appropriate category and click Properties. The following view will be presented:

Select the appropriate option.
Note: permissions will be required on other sites to allow users view and access the shared categories.
