Automatic Generation - Page Property

Tag

The Page Property option allows the administrator to populate the value of a Meta Tag from a list of Easysite fields. For example:

1. Go to Administration -> Content -> Metadata. Select Tags and then Add. The following view will be presented:

2. Edit/configure:

Population options

Select Automatic Generation.

Use

Select Page Property.

Property Prefix

If required enter a relevant prefix This prefix will appear in the content value off the Meta Tag, for example 'ISBN:' could used as a prefix, generating the following value:

<metaname="Identifier"content="ISBN:0385424728"/>  

Page Property

Select an appropriate property.

Hide Tag When Value Is Empty

If required, check to hide the Tag from the source code if not populated.

Allow Modules to complete this tag

If required, check to allow a text element from a Directory to populate the value for this  Meta Tag.

Note: the Directory element must be set to Populate MetaTag (Full Screen mode). An option will then be presented allowing the administrator to select which Meta Tag the element will populate.

3. Click Save.
