Manage DataStore Elements

Adding DataStore Elements

The DataStore consists of a series of configurable elements (also referred to as fields). 

To add elements to a DataStore instance go to Administration -> Modules -> DataStore and select the appropriate instance.

1. Click Manage elements. The following view will be presented:

2. Click add to add a new element and the following will be presented:

3. Edit/configure the following fields:

Element name

Enter an appropriate name for the element.

Appear in Summary

If required, check to allow the data in the element to appear in the summary view of the DataStore.

Helper Text

If required, create Helper Text which sits above the element on the page.

Required Element

If required, check to make the element a mandatory field when entering data.

Type

Select a data type from the drop down list.

The following element types are currently available:

Reordering elements

To reorder elements go to Administration -> Modules -> DataStore. Select the appropriate DataStore and click Manage Elements.

1. Click Reorder elements. The following view will be presented:

2. Drag and drop the elements to create the appropriate order, then click Save.

To delete elements go to Administration -> Modules -> DataStore. Select the appropriate DataStore and click Manage Elements.

1. Check to select the appropriate element(s) and click Delete.

Note: a confirmation message will be presented.
