Field
Enter the element (database) label.
Default Value
Select from the dropdown:
None presents the end user with a blank empty box for entering information.
Specified presents a text box where default text can be created. The end user can over type this.
Look up allows user information to be pre filled from a logged in users’ EasySite Account.
Physical Width
Enter the width in percentage of the page for the element.
Character Limit
Maximum number of characters that can be entered in the field.
Note: this can currently be limited to a maximum of 999,999,999 characters.
Answer on a New Line?
If required, check to place the answer field below the question. This is useful where the amount of text stored in the database field is likely to be large.
Must be Filled In
Makes the field mandatory when entries are added to the directory.
Must be an email address
The data entered must contain the @ symbol.
Require Input Confirmation
Check to force the user to enter data twice.
Details Page Option
Tick to select whether this field is displayed when the full (i.e. detailed) database record is displayed. Useful if some fields need to be searchable but hidden from view.
Summary Page Options
Selects whether this field is displayed in the summary listing (i.e. directory search results). Also, allows the field to be displayed as a link, which, when clicked, displays the detailed database record. You can also order the list of data on the basis of this element.
Listing Page Options
Selects whether this field is display when the directory is rendered in the list view.
Include in Keyword Search
Specifies whether a keyword search of the directory should include the values of this database field.
Provide as a Search Option
If this option is selected and the directory is configured to show advanced search options the directory user will be presented with a dedicated search option for this field.
Show Key Value/Pair
Checking this option shows both the field name and the corresponding value on the detail page. Unchecking will show only the value.
Use as Page Title
Uses the field entry to create a page title for the detail page.
Display as Heading
Uses the field entry to create a Header for the detail page
Populate Metatag
If an appropriate metatag has been created it can be populated using this field.
