Assigning Directory Permissions

Edit Permissions

Permissions allow the appropriate authors or administrators to populate the databases for the directories, and/or add a directory to a web page.

To edit permission go to Administration -> Modules -> Directory Builder -> select the appropriate directory.

1. Click Edit Permissions. A list of groups who currently have permissions for the directory will be presented:

2. Switch the Types option to Unassigned. A list of unassigned groups will be presented. Check to add the appropriate permissions.

Note: Read allows members of the group to view the contents of the directory.

Note: The read permission applies to any list view of the directory, including the search results and RSS feeds.

Note: Write allows members of the group to add content to the directory.

3. Select Save and then Finished.
