Add
To add a new page, login to an Easysite account with authoring privileges and navigate to an appropriate location within the site. Select Add from the tool bar at the top of screen. Alternatively, right click on page in the Page Explorer and select New Page. The following view will be presented:
1. Select the appropriate Template. The following view will be presented:
Note: if required check Show Template Description to expose further information about the templates.
2. Edit/Configure:
Page Title
The is the name of the page. It is displayed when the page is exposed in a list or in the search results.
Note: the site search refers to this field.
Page Summary
Enter an appropriate description of the page content. It may be displayed when the page is exposed in a list or in the search results.
Note: the site search refers to this field.
Link Text
Enter appropriate text to be displayed in the site navigation.
Meaningful URL
Enter an appropriate URL for the page.
Create Page As
Select the appropriate option
Note: sibling creates the page within the same navigation as the current page.
Child starts a new menu underneath the current page.
Publication Date
If required, enter an appropriate publication date. This option is typically used to enter the initial publication date of page being recreated in Easysite.
3. Click Save. An editable view of the page will be presented. Edit the content as required.
