The Analytics module allows elements in page Analytics to be presented, in addition to more granular tracking of specific events such as videos and downloads to be tracked using Google Analytics. For example:
The following elements and features are tracked:
- Links in Content Editors
- Links added to Inline Assets via the Link Picker
- Banners created via the Banner Module
- Asset downloads
- Streaming Media Video views/loads
- eShop receipts/billing steps
To use the module a Google Analytics account and an API key are required.
Once the API key has been entered the administrator can configure default tracking behaviours. Alternatively, tracking can be managed for individual page elements.
Note that the Analytics Module injects tracking code into the stylesheets for the site. Customers already using Google Analytics should ensure that any previous tracking code is removed. For more information sepak to your Project Manager or raise a service request.
