Multi Tier Drop Down

This element adds a multi choice element to a Directory entry, allowing the user to select from a series of tiered lists.. A typical example of the Multi Tier Drop Down in use is:

Multi Tier Drop Down Form Element

1. Drag and drop the Multi Tier Drop Down element into the appropriate location:

2. Configure the element. The following view will be presented:

3. Edit/configure:

Label

Enter an appropriate label for the element.  

Layout 

Select whether the question and answers are displayed in two separate columns, or whether the answers sit under the question as rows in a single column. 

Physical Width

Enter the width of the answer box in percentage of the screen.

Mandatory

Check if required.

Use List

Select the appropriate tiered Shared List. This list will populate the list of answers.

Must Complete All Tiers 

Select if required.

Show As 

Select if the element and the responses are to render in the Records view when managing Entries. If the element is to display select whether or not is displays as a link to the full response.

Orderable

 If required, check to allow the administrator to sort records by this field.

Include in Keyword Search

If required, check to make the element searchable.

Provide as Search Option

If required, check to provide a dedicated search option for this field.

Expand Direction

 Select the required direction for the tiered list to expand:

Only use final selection in display mode

If required, check to show only the final answer selected when an administrator is reviewing submissions.
