Template

Templates allow System Users to define bespoke fields for population and display when an individual event is viewed.

Edit view

To configure the template of an instance of Events go to Administration -> Apps -> Modules -> Events.

1. Select the appropriate instance and click Options.

2. Select Template. The following view will be presented:

Configure tab 

1. Click to configure the existing tab or add an additional tab. The following view will be presented:

2. Edit/configure:

Label

Enter an appropriate label for the tab

Access type

if the user record is to be exposed via the Membership module select the type of user the tab should be exposed to:

Public shows to all users, including anonymous.

Private show shows to the event owner, users with a write permission to the calendar or event, users with Events Administrator privilege.

Administrator shows to users with Events Administrator privilege.

3. Drag and drop elements to create an appropriate template.

The following elements are available.

  • Event short text element icon Short TextThe Short Text element presents a single line of text for capturing data in regard to an Event..
  • Long text element icon Long TextThe Long Text element presents a multi-line text area, which may be used to capture data in regard to an Event.
  • Events Asset element icon AssetThe Asset element allows a user to browse to the Asset Manager and add an image to the details of an Event.
  • Events date and time element icon Date and TimeThe Date and Time element allows date information to be added to an Event, via a calendar picker or day, month and year dropdowns.
  • Events link element icon LinkThe Link element allows a URL to added to the details of an Event
  • Events Share List element icon Select ListThe Select List element allows an event creator to select options from a Shared List. The selected options are then displayed as plain text.
  • NumberThe Number element presents a single line of text for capturing numerical data.
  • Events uploaded file element Uploaded FileThe Uploaded File element allows the Event creator to browse to the Asset Manager and attach a file to the Event.
  • Events Address element icon AddressThe Address element allows the Event Creator to add address details to the Event.
  • Events user element UserThe User element allows the Event creator to associate the name of an Easysite user with an event
  • Events Web element icon WebThe Web element allows a URL to be added to the details of an Event.
  • Events telephone element icon TelephoneThe Telephone element allows a telephone number to be added to an Event.
  • Events email icon EmailThe Email element allows an email address to be added to the details of an event.
  • Events fieldset icon FieldsetThe Fieldset element allows additional event details to be divided into related sections.
  • Events content element icon ContentThe Content element allows supplementary text to be added to the details of an event..
