Single Event Session View

The Events Module Single Session View element is used to display a single event at a time. For example:

Drag and drop the Single Event Session View element onto the page or template:

1. Configure the element. The following view will be presented:

2. Edit/configure:

Event store

Select the appropriate instance of Events.

Event session

Click Change to select a specific event for display.

Allow inline event management

Select which users may add or edit events via the page.

    

Note: All Users enables any user with access to the page to add events.

All Permitted Users allows users in a group with write permissions to the instance to add events.    

Render title as

   

Select the header tag for the title.

    

Detail View Style

Select the appropriate Theme for the event when it is viewed.

Image Size

If an image has been added to the event detail, select an appropriate image size for display.

Show empty fields

By default the element will only display fields for which data exists. If required, check to show unpopulated fields.

Show venue

If a Location has been defined for the Event, check to display this information.

Show contact

If a Contact has been defined for the Event, check to display this information.

Edits subject to moderation message

An Approval process may be configured for new events. If so define a message to be displayed when a user selects edit for an event.

Events has details waiting approval message

Enter a message to be displayed once an edit has been saved, advising that the change is pending approval.

Display awaiting approval message to public users

Check if required.

Show iCal download link

iCal allows users to add the event directly to an Outlook calendar. Check if required.

Enter appropriate text for the iCal link.

Note: that the specific Event instance in question will require the Everyone read permission present or granular group permissions to be applied for the iCal Download Link to function. Without this, a 403 HTTP response will be displayed confirming access to the resource is denied.
