Manage Permissions

Permissions control which groups may view and amend a specific Link List.

Assigning User Permissions

To Assign user permissions go to Administration -> Apps -> Modules -> Link Manager.

1. Select a Link List name and go to Options -> Permissions. The following view will be presented:

2.  Switch the Filter Groups options to Unassigned and check to add the appropriate read and write permissions to the relevant groups. 

Note:  Read allows the user group to view the contents of the list. This is particularly important if the content is displayed via an RSS feed. Groups without a read permission will not be able to view the content of the feed when displayed on a page.

Write allows groups with the Edit Link Lists privilege to be able to amend links.  

3.  Once the appropriate permissions have been allocated click Save, and then Finished to return to the Manage Link List menu.
