Typically Premium Categories are used to display Premium Content. Adding content to the category results in the content becoming Premium.
To create a Premium Content Category go to Administration > Content > Categories and Tags -> Categories.

Check if required.
Note: Any page added to a premium category will be become premium content.
Premium Assets
Assets can also be made Premium via the use of premium categories. Once the appropriate premium system category has been added to asset manager, add the relevant assets to this category. The contents of the category can be displayed via an Asset Browser or Asset Manager element.
Note: An anonymous user selecting downloading an asset from the Asset Browser or Asset Manager element will be prompted to login. Once logged in the asset will be downloaded.
