Code or Script

Uploading a code or script assets such as a Widget to the Asset Manager via the Administration interface.

Add asset

To upload file go to Administration -> Content -> Assets.

1. Click Add and select Code or Script. The following view will be presented:

2. Edit/configure:

Title

Enter an appropriate title for the asset.

Description

If required enter an appropriate short description for the asset.

Code

Paste in the code for the Code or Script asset.

Note: the Asset may be added to a page via a standard Asset element.

Content Type

Select the appropriate option from the dropdown list.

Scheduling

Assets may be scheduled. To schedule an asset click Scheduling. The following view will be presented:

1. Edit/configure:

Go Live Date

Enter an appropriate date. The Asset will not be visible to end users until this date is reached.

Review Schedule

A Review Schedule creates rules for reviewing Assets including review periods and escalations. Select an appropriate Review Schedule.

Review Date

Enter an appropriate date.

Expiration Date

Enter an appropriate date, and click Change to select an appropriate category.

Note: this will result in the asset being unavailable to end users until the expiry date is removed and the asset re-published. Once expired the asset will no longer be presented to users in the front end of the site.

Note: no category is required when expiring asset although the asset can be moved to a different asset category as part of the expiration process.

Archive Date

Enter an appropriate date, and click Change to select an appropriate category.

Note: Archiving will simply relocate the asset to a different category and will not result in the asset being automatically removed from the front end of the site. You will be required to relocate the asset to a category with relevant permissions to give this effect.

Deletion Date

Enter an appropriate date.

Categories

Categories control access to the asset, and may also be used to aggregate content via a page element such as Asset Browser.

To categorise an asset click Categories. The following view will be presented:

1. Click to expand the category selection and check to associate the appropriate categories.

Tags

Metadata may be associated with an asset.

To populate meta tags click Tags. The following view will be presented:

1. Click Change to associate an Asset Owner, and populate any other metadata.

Note: every asset has an Owner - the user who added the asset or made the last edit. The Asset Owner is a permanent owner for the asset. This could be the content provider or director or senor manager. 

Saving the asset

Click Save.
