Comment Settings

Comments Configuration

To configure page comments go to Administration -> Content -> Feedback -> Comment Settings. The following view will be presented:

2. Edit/configure:

Heading

Enter an appropriate heading for the comments function.

Show Add Comment Button

Check if required.

Add Comment Button Label

Add an appropriate label.

Comments displayed per page

Enter an appropriate value

Comment form introduction

Enter text to be displayed before the comment form.

Comment form disclaimer

Enter appropriate text, for example a statement on criteria which prevent a comment being approved.

Comment confirmation text

Enter text to be display when the user submits a comment.

Report confirmation text

Enter text to be display when the user reports a comment.

Enable decision based comments

Check if required.

Note: the following fields will be presented:

Define an appropriate question.

Note: when enabling comments on a page the following fields will be presented:

Select the appropriate options.

Allow anonymous (logged out) users to add comments

Check if required.

Note: if this option is unchecked the following option is presented:

Include CAPTCHA test in comments form

ReCAPTCHA adds a test to the form to determine if the user is human. Check if required.

Note: if this option is selected add an appropriate label and API keys. These keys are available via a Google webmaster account. In addition, select an appropriate theme for the ReCAPTCHA element.

Show Registration for Anonymous Users

Check if required.

Registration Text

Enter appropriate text explaining the registration process.

Registration Link Text

Enter appropriate text for a link to the registration page.

Registration Page

Click Change to create a link to the registration page.

Show Comment Authors As

Select the appropriate option.

Maximum comment length

Enter an appropriate value.

Extra field label

If required, configure the label for an additional field. This could be used to gather additional data such as the respondents organisation or role.

Extra field is mandatory

Check if required.

Display comments in

Select the appropriate option.

Display most recent comments first

Check if required.

3. Click Save.
