Configuring the Search Results page, enabling global searching and Synonym Rings, in addition to view basic Search Engine Statistics.
Search Settings
To configure general search settings go to Administration -> Content -> Search.
1. Click Search Settings. The following view will be presented:
2. Edit/configure:
Default Search Page
Enter the URL of the search results page. Note: this page must contain the Search page element in order to display search results.
Default Directory Page
If required, enter the URL of page where directory search results may be displayed.
Allow Global Site Search.
If required, check to allow the search to search other sites in the Easysite installation.
Note: the Search page element is used to add the global site search to a page.
Use Synonym Rings
Synonym Rings are used to associate search terms together, generating search results for all associated terms regardless of the term searched for. Check if required.
3. If required, click to Re-index Pages and rebuild the Search Cache.
Note: the search will not return a full list of results until the re-index is complete.
4. Click Save Settings.
