User Gallery

User gallery

The User Gallery render method creates an online album. End users can select an album from a list, and may be allowed to upload images into this album. An example of the User Gallery render method would be:

1. Drag and drop the Asset Browser element onto the page or template.

2. Configure the element and select the User Gallery render method. The following view will be presented:

3. Edit/configure:

Automatically create album for page

Check if the Gallery is to be used with BuildSocial.

Root Category

Select a parent Asset Category for the individual album categories. New albums will automatically create an new Asset Category beneath this parent.

Album Presentation

Select the appropriate option.

Album Cover Size

From the drop down list select a custom size for the main image displayed for an album.

Default Album Cover

From the drop down list select a custom size for the smaller thumbnail size images displayed.

Photo List Title

Enter a title for the images.

Main image size

Select a size the images will be displayed at when an individual image is viewed.

Enforce minimum dimensions

Check to prevent use of images smaller than main image size.

Thumbnail size

Select a size the images will be displayed at when an individual gallery is viewed.

Use Lightbox

Check if required.

User Authoring

Check to allow users to upload images to the album. Note that new Assets, by default, require Administrator approval. If required, check to bypass this process.

Allow Photo Manipulation

If required, check to allow Ender Users to crop and Resize their Assets using the Manipulation tool.

Launch Photo Manipulator on Upload

Check if required.

Minimum Caption Length

Enter minimum number of characters as required.

Maximum Filesize (Kilobytes)

Enter the maximum filesize as required

Help Text

Enter appropriate help text.

Allow reporting

If required, check to allow end users to report inappropriate Assets.

Note: if this option is selected enter appropriate helper text.

Hide Expired Assets

Check if required.

Hide Scheduled Assets

Check if required.

Hide In Review Assets

If required, check to hide Assets which are currently being reviewed.
