The Carousel View allows the author to create a scrolling carousel of articles using the ProMotion element.
Carousel
1. Select the Carousel View option. The following view will be presented.
2. Edit/Configure:
Maximum number of items
Enter an appropriate number of articles to display in the Carousel.
Randomise articles
Click to override any other order settings and display a random selection of articles.
Header
If required, enter an appropriate heading for the list.
Footer
If required, enter an appropriate footer for the list.
Show images
If required, check to diuse the image nearest the top left of the page to illustrate the article in the Carousel.
Use Page Avatar
If required, check to use the Page Avatar to illustrate the articles.
Image size
Select an appropriate image size for the asset being displayed.
Show author
If required check to include the name of the page author with the article in the Carousel.
Show summary
If required check to include the page description with the article in the Carousel.
Summary limit
If required, enter an appropriate character limit for the page description.
Show published date
If required check to include the page published date with the article in the Carousel.
Note: if this option is selected, chose an appropriate format and type for the date.
Auto cycle (seconds)
If required enter a time for articles to be displayed if the Carousel is to auto-cycle.
Display 'no results' message
If required check to display a custom no result message.
'No results' message
Enter appropriate text for the no results message.
Open links in new window
Check if required.
Article link text
If required enter custom link text which is presented with the article.
Style
Select an appropriate Theme for the ProMotion element.
