Configuring the Headline Box to display an External RSS Feed.
Headline Box element
Drag and drop the Headline Box element onto the page or template.
1. Configure the element and select the External RSS Feed display type. The following view will be presented:
3. Edit/configure:
External URL
Enter the URL of the appropriate RSS feed.
Open Links in New Window
Check if required.
External Error Feed Handling
Select the appropriate option.
Refresh Every
Select the appropriate caching rules for the feed.
Style
Select the appropriate option.
Title
Enter an appropriate title for the RSS feed.
Show Summary
Check if required.
Note: if this option is selected enter an optional character limit.
Show Published Date
Check if required.
Note: if this option is selected, select the appropriate date options.
Maximum Articles
Enter an appropriate value.
Render Links
Check to render the article names as links.
Hide if no results
Check if required.
Position
Select the appropriate option.
Width
Enter an appropriate value.
Auto-refresh interval
Enter the number of seconds for the feed to be refreshed to search for new articles.
Page URL
If required click Change to select a page container additional information.
