Advanced may be used to configure User preferences, such as Language or Locale. In addition, Advanced is used to allow automatic login by IP address and to enable Bot access to restricted content.
Edit user
To configure advanced settings for a user account go to Users and Groups -> Users.
1. Select the appropriate user and click advanced. The following view will be presented:

Expires
If required enter an appropriate expiry date for the account.
Default Page Variant
If variants have been created select the default variant to be displayed for the user.
Preferred Language
If languages have been implemented, select the preferred language for the user.
Preferred Region
If regions have been implemented, select the preferred region for the user.
Personal Homepage
If required select a personal homepage. The user will be redirected to this page upon successful login.
Allow User to be Impersonated
Impersonation allows an account to be created which automatically gains the access rights and privileges of another user. If required, check to allow the user to be impersonated.
Impersonate User
If required, select the user to be impersonated.
Note: only Public Users may be impersonated.
Grant Webservice Access
Check if required.
Associated IP address
IP addresses can be used to allow automatic sign on. The appropriate IP range(s) should be added via the Setup interface. Select the IP address to associate with the current user. Any end user coming to the site from the nominated IP address will be logged on as the current user,
Associated User Agents
User Agents may be associated with a User account. This enables the Bot to access the same restricted pages as the user account. Note: user Agents should be associated with the site via the Setup interface.
