Views may be utilised to create different display views of user data. For example a shortened view of a user record could be displayed on a public page, with an extended version created for use on restricted pages. A view may be exposed to the user via the My Account element, or to end users via the Membership module.
User Template Custom Views
To create a View go to Administration -> People -> Users.
1. Select Options -> Views.
2. Click Add. The following view will be presented:
3. Enter an appropriate name for the view, for example 'Public view', 'Members View' or 'Edit View'.
Tabs
If required, the data in the user record may be divided into tabs.

Label
Enter an appropriate label for the tab, for example 'Interests' or 'Qualifications'.
Access Type
Select the required access type for the tab:
Public if the user details are exposed via a page element, the data in this tab will be available to the public.
Private if the user details are exposed via a page element, the data in this tab will be available to users with a 'write' permission to the membership module.
Administrator the data in this tab is available only to System Users with the User Administrator privilege.
3. Drag and drop the required Template Elements.
