Workflow is an approval process which ensures that one or more nominated users must approve content before it can go live.


To manage create and manage Workflow go to Administration -> Setup -> Workflow. Select the appropriate option:

  • AddAdd allows an Administrator to create a Workflow and associate moderators with the Workflow.
  • OptionsManaging Workflow options, including configuring Notification emails, Review and Retention policies and Transitions.
  • TransitionsTransitions add additional functionality into Workflow and are typically used as part of the Cross Site Publishing module and Locales.
  • ReviewsReview Schedules are applied to either asset categories or pages, which must be published to confirm that the review has been undertaken.
  • RetentionsCreating and applying a Retention Policy to an Asset Category to ensure that Assets within that category are not deleted within a nominated time period.
  • Retention PeriodsConfiguring available timescales for Retention Policies.
  • Moderating WorkflowModerating changes to Pages, Assets and Directories using Workflow.
