Asset versions
When an author or administrator edits and republishes an Asset, a new version of that Asset is created. Administrators may implement rules to manage the retention of older Asset versions. Retention may be based on a maximum number of versions to be retained or by time period. To configure Versioning go to:
- Content -> Pages -> Options -> Setup
- Content -> Assets -> Options -> Setup
- Setup -> Site
- System -> Configuration
Select System -> Assets -> Versioning:
1. Edit/configure:
Enable asset version removal
If required, check to enable the automatic removal of older asset versions.
Maximum versions
Enter the maximum number of versions to be retained for each asset.
Enable asset period removal
If required, check to enable the automatic removal of older asset versions after a specified number of days.
Keep for (days)
Enter the number of days which older asset versions should be retained.
