Automatic sign on

To access Automatic sign on to go to:

  • Content -> Pages -> Options -> Setup 
  • Content -> Assets -> Options -> Setup 
  • Setup -> Site 
  • System -> Configuration


Select System, and then People -> Authentication -> Automatic sign on:

1. Edit/configure:

Enable auto sign on

If required, check to allow auto sign on.

Sign in behaviours

Select whether the user is automatically signed in when first visiting the site (on first access), or on the first time the user attempts to access restricted content (on first challenge)

Force auto sign on

Selecting this option make auto sign on mandatory, and users will not be allowed to login to the site unless they are automatically signed on.

Repeat auto sign on after logout

If required, check to automatically log users back into the site if they manually log out.

Restrict auto sign on by IP

If required, create a white or blacklist of IP addresses.

2. Click Save.

Note: this interface determines behaviours during the automatic sign on process. Further configuration is required to allow auto sign on by authentication provider or by IP address.
