Easysite 6.5.1 will require a move to State Server for its session management. This will require changes to your current hosting infrastructure at a point you schedule an update to Easysite 6.5.1.0+.
What changes will be required for Easysite 6.5.1.0+?
Easysite v6.5.1.0 will be configured to use State Server by default, however the following changes will be required to the web server that hosts the Easysite application data:
- The ASP.Net State Service will require installation and will need to be configured to be started for the website to operate correctly.
**This service should be part of the standard Window Server 2008 installation so should not require additional download.
- The ASP.Net State Service will require configuration for 'Automatic' start up.
- The ASP .Net4 Framework will need to be installed.
**This change should already be present if currently running Easysite 6.0.26.0+
- The Internet Information Systems (IIS) application pool that is associated with Easysite will require updating to use .Net4 'Integrated' mode.
