Forms: Change in Email Notification of Form Submissions Containing Personal Data

Easysite will no longer support email notification from forms containing respondent information. Transmitting such data via email contravenes best practice relevant to the Data Protection Act. Form submission notifications will continue to be sent by email. However, The Form page element will default to the Exclude Form Data setting. Administrators will need to view captured data via Administration.

Additionally, it is recommended that clients ensure they have secured their web sites, any forms that capture personal information and Administration using SSL (Digital Certificates). Where appropriate, IP restrictions can also be implemented to further secure site(s).

Note: Clients hosting with EIBS should contact their account manager for assistance in obtaining digital certificates.

It is also recommended that clients should endeavour to have a clear Data Protection Act statement on their web site(s).
